Terms of Service

LAST UPDATED: JULY 2026

1. About Dale Booking

Dale Booking is an online scheduling platform that connects clients with independent service providers. Dale Booking does not employ providers and is not responsible for the quality, outcome, or safety of any services.

2. For Clients

By booking through Dale Booking you agree that:

  • You are booking directly with an independent provider, not with Dale Booking.
  • Dale Booking is not responsible for no-shows, cancellations, or disputes between you and your provider.
  • Deposit policies are set by each provider and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated by the provider.
  • You provide accurate contact information for appointment reminders.

3. For Providers

By creating an account you agree that:

  • You are an independent contractor, not an employee of Dale Booking.
  • You are solely responsible for the services you provide and any disputes with clients.
  • You are responsible for your own licensing, insurance, and compliance with local laws.
  • Dale Booking may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms.
  • Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually and are non-refundable.

4.1 Payment Methods

Providers may choose how clients pay for deposits and services booked through Dale Booking. Depending on the Provider's settings, a Client may be offered the option to pay a deposit (a) directly to the Provider outside the Platform, using a method the Provider has designated (such as Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or cash), or (b) online through the Platform using a credit or debit card, processed by our payment partner, Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe").

4.2 Stripe Connect; Provider as Merchant of Record

Where a Provider elects to accept online card payments, the Provider establishes their own account with Stripe (a "Connected Account") through Stripe's onboarding process. By creating a Connected Account, the Provider agrees to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement (available at stripe.com/legal/connect-account), as well as Stripe's Services Agreement. The Provider is the seller and merchant of record for any transaction processed through their Connected Account. Dale Booking is not a party to the payment transaction between Client and Provider, does not take possession or custody of Client funds at any point, and does not guarantee the completion, accuracy, or reversal of any payment.

4.3 Platform Fee

For online card payments processed through a Provider's Connected Account, Dale Booking retains a platform fee equal to 0.5% of the transaction amount, collected automatically at the time of payment. This fee is separate from, and in addition to, Stripe's own standard payment-processing fees, which are the Provider's responsibility.

4.4 Refunds

Refunds for online card payments are governed by the cancellation, refund, and rescheduling policy that each Provider sets and displays to Clients at the time of booking. Where a cancellation qualifies for a refund under the Provider's stated policy, Dale Booking's Platform will initiate the corresponding refund through Stripe, including a proportional return of Dale Booking's platform fee. Dale Booking automates the enforcement of the Provider's stated policy but does not independently guarantee, insure, or adjudicate refund disputes between Client and Provider. Disputes, chargebacks, and negative account balances arising from a transaction are the sole responsibility of the Provider, to be managed through the Provider's own Stripe dashboard.

4.5 Off-Platform Payments

Where a Provider accepts payment by a method other than Stripe (including Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or cash), that payment occurs entirely outside the Platform and outside Dale Booking's involvement. Dale Booking has no visibility into, control over, or responsibility for the completion, accuracy, or refund of such payments; any dispute regarding an off-Platform payment is solely between Client and Provider.

4.6 Subscription Fees

Dale Booking charges Providers a subscription fee to use the Platform. Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually and are non-refundable.

5. Limitation of Liability

Dale Booking is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to disputes between clients and providers, missed appointments, or unsatisfactory services. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 30 days.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dale Booking is not liable for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from (a) a Provider's handling of, or failure to properly configure, their Connected Account or payment settings; (b) a payment dispute, chargeback, or fraud claim between a Client and a Provider; (c) delays, errors, or failures caused by Stripe or any other third-party payment processor; or (d) any off-Platform payment arrangement between a Client and a Provider. Providers acknowledge that their relationship with Stripe is governed independently by Stripe's own terms, and that Dale Booking is not responsible for Stripe's acts, omissions, or platform availability.

6. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Dale Booking after changes means you accept the new terms.
