- Why does the barber want a deposit?
- Barbers only earn while cutting, so an empty chair from a no-show is lost income. A deposit — usually a percentage of the service — holds your slot and comes off your total.
- Can I pay for the whole cut online?
- Shops that enable online payments can take your deposit by card, and some can charge the remaining balance to the same card after your cut. Others operate cash-in-hand or Venmo/Zelle/Cash App — each shop's accepted payments are listed on its page.
